Tirap
Tirap district is located in the southeastern part of Arunachal Pradesh and is spread across 2363 square kilometers of area. It shares its boundaries with Nagaland in Assam and Myanmar. There is jewelry made from beads and there are headgear, elephant tusks, and several other artifacts which mark its uniqueness. Tirap is a treasure for eco lovers and adventure enthusiasts as they indulge in trekking, camping, and whatnot, in the lap of nature far beyond artificial cities.
Khonsa
Khonsa is a beautiful little hill station with natural beauty all around it. Bordering Myanmar in the east and Assam in the south, Khonsa is also an important military area in the North-East. Khonsa's beauty lies in most of the natural surroundings, however, one could also enjoy a visit to the Khonsa museum to have a glance at the traditional tribal artefacts. Cherrapunji

Mawsynram
The 'Maw' in Mawsynram is a Khasi word meaning 'stone'. It symbolizes the unique megaliths unearthed in the Khasi Hill area. The village is well known for its huge formation of a stalagmite, which takes after the shape of a 'Shivling'. Located in the East Khasi Hill district of Meghalaya, Mawsynram is 1400 m above sea level. The rains are so powerful in Mawsynram that the local villagers have to make use of thick grass to soundproof their homes from the thunderous rain.
Haflong, Assam - Assam's Tallest Hill Station
Situated amidst the Borail Mountain range in Assam, Haflong is the tallest hill station of the state, and the headquarter of the Dima Hasao district. Located about a 6-7 hour drive from the capital of Guwahati, Haflong also referred to as the 'White Ant Hillock' is famous for Jatinga, where migratory birds land every winter. Experiencing cool summers and chilly winters, this sleepy hill town in southern Assam is perfect for picnics, light treks and long winding drives.
