How to reach Mechuka?
By Road:
Mechuka is 180 kilometers away from Along, and 450 kilometers away from the Dibrugarh Airport, You can hire a car to reach Mechuka, or you can take public transport to reach Pasighat then from there daily share sumo service is available to Mechuka.
By Train:
You can travel from Guwahati to Murkongselek Railway station. Pasighat is 36 km away from the Murkongselek Railway Station. It is the nearest Railway station, from Murkonselek you can hire a car online to reach Mechuka. you have to book the taxi 1 or 2 days before reaching Murkongselek via online mode.
By Air:
Nearest is Diburghar Airport. hire a car from Diburghar toward Mechuka.

As Mechuka has adopted tourism local is taking part to give service to the Tourist so there are Numbers of Homestay available where you can stay. Some of Homestay is like Gayboo Traditional Lodge and Homestay, Tourist Lodges and Inspection Bungalow.
About Mechuka
Mechuka also is known as Menchukha is a small town nestled, Mechuka Valley in West Siang District of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The major tourist attraction here is a 400-year-old Buddhist Monastery, which is located at a hilltop in the westernmost part of Mechuka. Numerous ancient statues can also be found here. Mechuka is rapidly becoming a popular tourist destination in Arunachal Pradesh due to its scenic beauty, exotic tribes, gentle hills, and snow-capped mountains, and River Siyom (locally known as Yargyap Chu). The Siom River, which flows through Mechuka also provides a breathtaking view in the valley.

Traditional bamboo fishing rods are available on the bank. if you are an adventure seeker you can even cross a hanging bridge that connects the other side of the village with the town. The hanging bridge is quite strong and stable made of wood, not bamboo. You can take some photos of the hanging bridge and also the surrounding place.

With the sun shining, you will get to see the gorgeous town, with its little beautiful wooden houses surrounded by the huge mountains.
Mechuka La Trek; Trekking to Dorjeeling Mountain:
There are so many fine trekking options in Mechuka. It’s a hub for adventure 36 km. This trek is famous for the huge MECHUKA Sign that is inscribed at the top of the mountain as the Los Angeles HOLLYWOOD Sign. The trek starts from the Bumjipanga bridge, outside the main town. It takes us 3 1/2 hours to reach there. . Halfway through the trek, the town of Mechuka can be seen without any hindrance.
